OVERVIEW:
Being the Graphic Design Intern for Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri was the first professional experience that I had received during my academic career. Many of my duties included creating templates, promotional materials for seasonal sales events (Cookie Season + Nut Season), and handouts while adhering to a strict branding guideline.

WOMEN'S CELEBRATION EVENT: BANDANA TAKEAWAY
The Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri's Women's Celebration Event honors the legacy of Juliette Gordon Low, the visionary founder of the Girl Scouts, whose dedication to empowering young girls continues to inspire generations. Held annually, this event celebrates the achievements of women and girls in the community, while reflecting on the values that Juliette instilled in the organization—courage, confidence, and character. Through inspiring speeches, workshops, and community recognition, the event highlights the transformative power of Girl Scouting and its ongoing mission to build tomorrow’s leaders, just as Juliette Gordon Low did more than a century ago.
My role in preparing in the event was creating the takeaway item for the year. Drawing inspiration from themes of camping, paisley, and my own experience as a girl scout, I created a bandana design that incorporates the organization's branding elements and the icon Trefoil that makes Girl Scouts of America most recognizable.

CAMP FURY STL:
Camp Fury offers an immersive experience where Girl Scouts team up with top local firefighters and law enforcement officers to learn how they protect the community. Campers engage in activities like search-and-rescue training, crime scene investigation techniques, and confidence-building, adrenaline-filled challenges such as aerial climbs, rappelling, canine tracking, and defensive maneuvers. At the end of this program, participating Girl Scouts have a ceremony where they highlight their experiences during the camp and receive their certificate of completion.

TREATS & READS 2023
In the Treats & Reads Program, Girl Scouts manage their own businesses by selling candy, nuts, magazines, Tervis products, jar candles, personalized items, and exclusive Girl Scout Bark Boxes to raise funds for their troop’s activities. The program also offers practical experience, helping Girl Scouts develop five key skills that will support their growth as leaders in their personal lives, their communities, in business, and beyond.
